Salvation

The concept of salvation is made clear in God’s Word.  We are all flawed creatures that have a need for redemption.  The only way for this to happen is by accepting the gift of Christ’s sacrifice for us and believing in Him.  Our church in Virginia held this fundamental belief and I continue to share it.  Jesus provided a way for all to have eternal life – the scriptural basis for this is in the attached document.  The bottom line is that if you truly open your heart and ask Christ for forgiveness, you have experienced the gift of salvation.  Your life is changed – no initiation, no ceremonies.  Just a life of following the example of Christ.  If you’re reading this and have never experienced salvation in your life, I encourage you to open your heart and offer the prayer below.

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and need a Savior. I believe that Jesus shed His blood, died on the cross, was buried and rose from the dead to pay for my sins. I accept the finished work on the cross of Calvary as payment for my sins and ask you to save me right now and forgive me of all my sins. Thank you for saving me, and now help me to live for you. In Jesus Name, Amen
